Zentangle Buzz

Dear Ones~
It's a sunny Saturday, and my spirits are lifted because of it. I had a great time playing in my craft room - something I haven't done for a couple of days.
My creation today is for the StampTV Mix It Up Monday Challenge. The challenge is to do some doodling on your card. Well HOT DOG - that means Zentangling, and I LOVE to Zentangle.
Here's my card:
I had Zentangled this bee while I was up on Lake Superior last summer. He's somewhat bigger in real life, but I shrank him with my photocopier to fit on my card, and then fussy cut him out. He took awhile to draw, but I find it so relaxing.

Here's the details of the card:
Gina K Designs Black Onyx card stock.
Background paper by My Mind's Eye - Oliver
Papertrey Ink Hexagon Cover Plate
My Favorite Things Hexagon Die Stax
Greeting from GKD Stamp Set Stamper's Favorites
GKD Ink in Sweet Corn for a little distressing on the greeting
Some Stickles on the bee's wings and body here and there

Hope you are doing something wonderful this weekend, and thanks for stopping by. Stay warm my friends!!

  2. Donna is soooo right about this card. It is a piece of art work. Just amazing Judy! Do you just do this doodling off the top of your head?
    I would like to learn.

  4. WOW! Love that bee, I had never heard of zentangle before seeing this and now am going to have to investigate. Not that I could pull off anything remotely like your example, as a matter of fact I can just hear my family laughing at the thought now! What a wonderful talent you have Judy and an amazing eye for beautiful patterns.

  7. Judy, your work is awesome! I especially like this zentangle as I am about to give it a whirl. Just bought a book and pens. Also appreciate your post about the little boy needing birthday cards. Will try to get one done! Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my snss masculine card. You may certainly case it-copying is the best form of flattery! Good luck with the challenge!

  9. Judy, this Zentangle is out of this world!! You're entire card is absolutely fabulous. I actually created my first Zentangle on Sunday afternoon for the LoveFest on Splitcoaststampers. Taylored Expression was hosting that day, their challenge was to use doodling. Judy do you have a gallery on SCS? If not, you should. Your work is wonderful. If you do, please send me an email with your gallery name. You've got a wonderful blog, my first time here. You can see my Zentangle on here: http://www.summerwalkdesigns.com/2014/02/possibilities.html I'm so glad I came looking for you (she smiles). Thank you for the comment today on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog.

    Hugs,
    Susie ~
