Lavender Botanicals

Dear Ones~
Just another quick post for today. This card has been created for 2 challenges. The Make It Monday Challenge over at Papertrey Ink, to use watercolor and heat embossing. Click on the link to watch the video showing this technique. It's really fun! I also created it for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge over at Flourishes. This challenge was to stamp an image and not color it in.

Here's my card:

This card was really simple to do. I used the Papertrey Ink Stamp Set Botanical Silhouettes, stamped the image on watercolor paper with Versamark and heat embossed with white powder. At first I used clear embossing powder, but the image didn't show up very well when I watercolored over it, so I tried on another piece of paper with white. After the image was heat embossed I just went to town with my watercolors. First I wet the paper and then used the water colors. It's really cool how the embossed image resists the color and just pops.

Here are the supplies I used, which weren't many:
Gina K Designs 120 lb Heavy Weight Card Stock in White
Other Card Stock from my Stash
Ribbon from my Stash
Water Colors from my Stash
White Enamel Accents for Little Dots Interest.

Okay, that's it for me. Thanks for stopping by - and once again, stay warm my friends.
