Tea Time

Brrrrr.....it's gonna get below zero again tonight. My DH has fired up the wood stove once again - our animals love it. Can't get enough of that cozy warmth. As soon as our cat hears Rob open the wood stove door he lays down in front of it waiting for the heat.
I thought this image of a nice warm cup of tea hit the spot today.
This is an image from a Flourishes stamp set called Grab a Cup. I stamped it on watercolor paper with Versafine Archival Ink and then colored it with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I love these markers - you can use them with a water brush and they blend and shade beautifully without losing their color integrity. The greeting is from a Flourishes stamp set called Summer Blossom.
Patterned papers are from the Pretty Little Posies paper pack from Paper Wishes, and I used GKD Pure Luxury Black Onyx card stock for the base. The circle was cut with a Spellbinders circle die and backed with a Spellbinders Lacy Circle die cut.

Thanks for stopping by, and stay warm my friends.

  4. mmmmm that's a delicious cuppa! Love the colors of your DP and the color of the tea cup! Beautifully crafted, and colored, loving all of the special little details and accents, I just love Baker's Twine--I love it wrapped around a pastry box the most--which I might add would pair nicely with your image! That lemon looks REAL! Simply Fabulous!!!

    1. Penny you should totally get those markers. They really are amazing. If you haven't done so, watch some YouTubes about them. Gives you some idea what they can do. I like them better than Copics for a lot of things.

  6. What a delightful card. And, perfect for many occasions. I always try to have a few cards that will fit any occasion and this is a perfect example. Your coloring is super as well! I have been thinking of getting those markers as well. So perhaps you have convinced me too. But it will have to be next paycheck I am afraid.

  7. Judy your card is gorgeous! Beautifully colored doesn't begin to describe this with any justice. Love your color palette and love your coloring of that tea cup and I have to say that the lemon looks so real you could pluck it from the cup. I am impressed. I have this stamp set, but haven't inked up this image yet. You have inspired me for sure.
