Nautilus

I have to say, I am so thankul for my wonderful hubby. We sometimes take our spouses for granted, but he is so diligent about keeping us warm and toasty during the cold winter months. It's a fair amount of work to keep the wood stove going. Not only does he have to make sure we have wood the right size - which means chopping and stacking - but he hauls it in and sees that the stove is always fed. And that's during the night as well. He has to get up in the wee hours of the morning to shove more wood in, while I sleep blissfully away, warm and cozy. Thanks honey!! Your sweet care for us (me and the animals) does not go unnoticed!

Now to my card for today. This was made for the STV MIUM Challenge. This week it was to make a CAS card. That stands for Clean And Simple. Here is my creation.

I love this stamp set. It's called By The Sea 2 from Gina K Designs. I stamped the shell, and then using the masking technique stamped the grasses behind. The greeting is from that same set. The image was stamped on watercolor paper with Archival Ink, and then colored with my beloved Distress Markers and a water brush. I so love those markers. I think I have said that before. This is a perfect sympathy card, or a get well card for that matter.

Okay, all for me today. Thanks for stopping by, and stay warm my friends.

  1. I know that; about the wood stoves, they are nice but they don't come w/o work. Wonderful hubby to take of that for you. This card is really nice. Perfect tones on the snail. I just bought my first distress markers at MICHAELs the other day and boo hoo they have to go back, they are all dried out.

  3. Gorgeous and love the coloring. I am so amazed at the shading and everything about this card. And, I have a hubby just like yours who chops and feeds the wood furnace as well on these bitter cold nights. We are so lucky!

  6. Totally gorgeous Judy. This is the second time I have seen this stamp set used today. Our friend Cheri has used it for her cas challenge for this week over at Outlawz. Check hers out as it is in her blog. Hugs
