Well, the wood stove is perking along. It's nice to walk back in the house after being outside and feel the cozy warmth. I could become a hermit during the cold winter months and never step foot outside of the house. My Stamp Room keeps calling my name.
This card was made for the final StampTV Guest Designer Challenge.
I stamped the image from the GKD stamp set duo Dream Catcher with Versamark, and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then it was fussy cut. The card base is GKD Dark Chocolate Pure Luxury card stock. I used kraft card stock for the background, which was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder called Forest Branches. The patterned paper is from a stack by Paper Studio called Natural Botanicals, and the circle is cut from a Spellbinder Circle die. I left the card stock in the die after cutting it out, and distressed it with GKD Dark Chocolate and Kraft inks to give it that dark look. Greeting is from the GKD By The Sea 2 stamp set.
This card is going to my BIL for his birthday. I had great fun making it - mostly because I could look out the window and watch the wind swirl the snow around, while I was warm and toasty in my stamp room.
Thanks for stopping by, and stay warm my friends.
gorgeous colors. good luck with the DT position.

ReplyDeleteDon't know what a SCS name is. Maybe Split Coast Stamper? Nope - I'm not a member, but I do like their stuff. I see that Beate is selling all her stamping stuff and is no longer going to stamp at all. Too bad!!
