Well, it's still winter here in Northern Michigan. The snow is softly falling as I write this. And I guess this card is inspired by looking out my window at the white stuff.
Here I made the background with some homemade texturizing paste. The recipe is 1/2 cup baking soda, 2 Tbsp white glue and 1-2 Tbsp white acrylic paint. Some water might be needed to make it the right consistancy. It's kinda like spackling compound. Then you just apply it with a putty knife or something similar. I used a stencil by Simon Says Stamp called Falling Snow to get the effect. I love the look of it. The snowflake die is from Impression Obsession and the delicate frame die is from Memory Box. It's called Winterflake Frame. I heat embossed the sentiment with some silver embossing powder, it's from a GKD stamp set called Let It Snow.
